Devel, born May 20 1858 in Cambridge Washington county NY, died yesterday afternoon at his home on South Marion Avenue after years of illness following a stroke. He leaves a son Fred Devel a daughter Olive who died in 1908 a sister Mrs TE Snider and nephew Fred M Snider. He was a carpenter by trade who also ran a nursery and served as a public official. He had resided in this community since 1877.
