Inhuman Brute Accused by Daughter in Mt Pleasant
A Mt Pleasant woman files charges against her father Herman Zahn for cruel and inhuman treatment. He is alleged to have beaten two sisters and dragged them by the hair, using tongs and a variety of implements. One daughter fled for protection with bleeding lips and bruises. Hay ride for Christian Endeavorers and election tension
This evening the Christian Endeavorers of the Presbyterian church plan a hay ride to the Singmaster home west of town. One week and a day remain until election day with sheriff county superintendent and representative races noted as the main contest. Rev. H R Stark delivered a missions sermon at the Presbyterian church, followed by a Baptist joint session with Rev. Fowler. An elderly man asked Express Agent Shearer about shipping a body to Emporia, Kansas, for a brother whose child was buried here 45 years ago. Rev.
