Beaten and Robbed in Creston Nighttime Attack
Reed Donovan, 50, was assaulted and robbed by two men near the west Creston city limits. A woman accompanying him was detained as an accomplice. Donovan suffered severe head and hand injuries, required 43 stitches, and said the robbers fled with about 1500 dollars after dragging him from his car into a ditch. A passerby, Bud Morrow, found him and alerted police, who arrived minutes later. Donovan, a painter, often carried large cash.

New Post Office To Be Built at Wellman
