Dies at Manning at Age of 101 Years
Henry Ewoldt, who would have turned 102 on March 5, died at Harlan Sunday night at the home of his daughter Mrs. Martin Myrrle. Burial will be in Manning where he had lived 60 years. A Denison celebration marked his hundredth birthday. He was survived by nine children, 35 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Death by own action shocks Washington area farmer
Harold G. White, 49, of three and a half miles northeast of Washington, shot himself at his home early today. He had worried over farm labor shortages and declining health. Dr. W. S. Kyle pronounced death a suicide. White, a Crawfordsville native, served as a marine corps aviation mechanic in WWI. He is survived by his wife Alice and four children, plus his parents and a sister. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at L. A. Jones funeral home. Burial will follow in Ainsworth cemetery.
