Runaway Excursion Train Links W R C Members to Burlington
A Narrow Gauge excursion train carrying nearly sixty passengers including many Woman's Relief Corps members departed Washington station at 7 30 AM for a district convention in Burlington. A runaway incident on the west side of the square involved Mr and Mrs John Harding and a buggy dash toward the park basin before being restrained. Leslie M Shaw left for Burlington to speak last night. The train carried extra couches from Winfield along the line to Burlington.
