Dr P S Henson Excites Washington With The Better Half Talk

Dr P S Henson lectured at the Graham in Washington on The Better Half addressing the woman question. He praised women's influence, warned about overemphasis on culture, and argued family leadership rests with men though exceptions exist. The city revised the Graham license from twenty to fifty dollars amid opposition from stockholders.

Jesuit Mission At St James Church By St Louis Priests

Two Jesuit priests Fathers Henry Moeller and Marshall Boarman lead a multi state mission at St James Catholic Church. Daily Divine Services are held morning 3 20 and 9 00 afternoon 8 00 and evening 7 30 with sermons on moral topics and dogmatic lectures. The current lecture titled Confession of Sin. County Ticket Names From Two Party Tickets

Last Chance to Register This Saturday for Election Day

The notice urges residents to register by Saturday October unless they were out of town. Only those out of town may register on election day. It encourages all voters to participate and predicts the city will outpace nearby towns in registration.

The official ballot has been published featuring seven tickets: republican democrat national democrat people's prohibition national and socialist labor. A sample with instructions must be posted five days before the election and a sample with instructions posted in booths on election day. Fire Destroys Home of James Wendl in Jackson Township

Last night the residence of James Wendl in Jackson township north of the city was consumed by a fierce blaze. A neighbor bucket brigade could not save the structure, which was insured for 8700 with Farmers' Mutual. The cause of the fire was not learned.

Family mishap north of the city near Norse Shoe Bend

A horse spurred by driver O C White caused a seat to spill the family into the road injuring Mr and Mrs White, Miss Lambert, and a baby who were bruised but not seriously hurt. Dr Jenkins reports the party on the mend as the accident is reassessed.
