Train Beheads Man at Davenport Junction

A freight train beheaded a man at Southwest Junction on Davenport's west edge as he walked near the tracks. The victim, described as a tramp, was struck yesterday morning by the departing train. This morning a separate incident at Muscatine City injured another man who did not hear the oncoming train while in lumber yards and died.
