Gunman shoots Chicago man. victim swallows bullet
Chicago on October 23 reports Ben Friedman, 42, being shot in the mouth by a gunman. Friedman swallowed the bullet after it knocked out three teeth and gave chase, then learned from physicians at Iroquois Hospital that the bullet passed harmlessly down his throat.

Colossal Caproni Airliner Soars Over Milan Test Flight
A giant Caproni airplane capable of carrying 150 persons was tested in Milan. The two man crew reported a 12 second liftoff and a smooth first flight with six 6,000 horsepower motors. Italian experts claim it has equal lifting power with less horsepower than the DO-X, which carried 169 aboard at Lake Constance. The Caproni flight lasted 30 minutes and ended with a perfect landing.
