The two stand six feet apart at 42 inch lecterns with an apple green two room studio cottages and a red carpet to the stage.

The Washington school board approved final plans for a new junior high at a 25 acre site behind Halcyon House and four room additions at Lincoln and Stewart elementary schools. Bids will be opened at a 2 pm meeting in 1960. The measures are part of a $950,000 bond issue including a bus maintenance garage and high school laboratory upgrades.

He was born Oct 14, 1887, married Pearl Dunbar in 1902, previously ran stores in Crawfordsville and Fairfield, retired IH worker, member of First Presbyterian Church and Davenport Elks. Funeral services for Nora B Harvey Lewis 82 a former Washington resident were held in Larned Kansas after she died Monday morning at her home. J C Wright 57 announced his resignation as Iowa state superintendent of public instruction effective Jan 1 1961.
