Seven persons including an 8 month old boy drowned when a car carrying a Miami Negro jazz band overturned on a curve 17 miles east of Naples. The car traveled east about 50 miles an hour, struck a palm tree, and plunged into a canal landing upside down.

Howard Miller, 53, died Sunday from pneumonia due to influenza. Darrell L. Parker, 3, Shannon City, died en route to a doctor in Tingley after Asian flu symptoms and a heart condition. Funeral for Darrell is Tuesday in Redding.
