A home mission pageant America's Unfinished Battles will be staged at United Presbyterian Church next Sabbath evening October 22 at 7 o clock. Principal roles include America Service and Patriotism with sixty local cast members led by Mrs J A Crawford. Estelle Davidson plays America Catherine MacConahey Patriotism Ellen Wolfe Service. The production has toured nationally and draws crowded audiences with no admission charge and a free will offering to help cover costs.
Pittsburgh dispatch reports a 78 hour rain causing floods across Harrisburg Pittsburgh Wilkes Barre and Shamokin. At least three people died hundreds homeless and 10000 workers sidelined as creeks overflowed and bridges failed. Coal mines flooded and relief groups formed to aid victims.

Funeral services announced for this afternoon are moved to Saturday at two o'clock. The delay is due to a son arriving from Canada not reaching on time. Services will be at the home of his daughter Mrs Gust Anderson.

An unidentified man about 60 years old died after being struck by a car yesterday afternoon in Des Moines. He could not be identified. he was 5 feet 8 inches, about 140 pounds, wearing a dark overcoat and light cap. Ed Sheffield, the driver, said the man stepped in front of the vehicle and he suffered a fractured skull.
Mr and Mrs F B McKeane of Columbus Junction and Mrs Marie Darland with daughters Patricia and Rae have returned to their homes after visiting the Keating home. They recently traveled by car through Oklahoma and Kansas.
Ain sworth telephone exchange sold by Lincoln Noble to Mr Snyder of Sioux City. Snyder plans to move his family and take possession around the first of November. Noble has owned the business for five years.
