Pleasant Hill church marks 132nd anniversary and homecoming
Pleasant Hill Christian Church near Washington Iowa celebrated its 132nd anniversary and 32nd homecoming on Sunday October 13 with over 200 attending. A record 94 joined Sunday School as Rev Clinton Wolf spoke on active Christian ministry. Special music, a basket lunch, and an afternoon program followed, highlighting parish history and community outreach. The church, organized in 1836 by Richard Moore, sits in a 102 year old building from 1866. donations support the cemetery and grounds maintained by members. Attendees included out of state visitors Lloyd Easter of Branson Missouri and Zeda Frederiksen of Los Alamitos California, a Moore descendant.
