Mrs. Jane Timmins, believed to be the oldest person in Washington county, celebrated her 100th birthday at home southeast of Lexington. Born October 15, 1826 near Columbus Ohio, she moved with her family to Illinois at age 12 and later to Cedar township about 75 years ago. Her four living children attended along with other descendants as she enjoys good health despite failing eyesight.
