Frank Leon Hicks 81 died Wednesday evening October 12 at his Wellman home after a long illness. A barber in Wellman for 52 years he operated a local shop. Funeral services set for Saturday at 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Dietterich. Burial in Wellman Cemetery. Born July 17, 1879 in Washington County to William Linley Hicks and Clarisa Jones Hicks. He married Cora O. King June 28, 1905 in North Dakota. they later moved to Wellman. Survivors: widow two sons Marvin G. and Darwin L. of Waukeegan IL one daughter Verne Dill of Keota four grandsons. four brothers preceded in death.
