Ole Olson performs tonight at the Graham venue with promise of fresh material. A Republican rally in Mt Pleasant features Col Palmer and Senator Gear, while noted local acts Col D J Summer and the Male Quartette join the program. Also mention of J A Crawford's steam laundry and Swift's Winchester Hams at 10 cents per pound at Stuart's.
Thursday evening Mrs. Margaret Campbell spoke at the convention. The speaker noted 1630 restrictions on voting for church members, 1664 repeal, and postwar enfranchisement of blacks, highlighting arguments around universal suffrage and the era's debates.
