Purity lessons and fire statistics from 1963 church and safety notices

A Catholic bundle of devotional notes on Christian purity cites Matthew 6 25 33 and First Corinthians 5 7 urging chastity as a divine virtue. It contrasts marriage as the proper outlet for sex and virginity as a goal before marriage with the idea of purity as a supernatural grace through the Holy Spirit. The piece includes a parable about a converted Austrian youth and Joseph in Potiphar's house. Chicago UPI fire statistic note adds that nearly a quarter of fires come from matches and smoking, one fifth from electrical misuse, and a tenth from heating plants, with three quarters from carelessness.

Church News Full Weekend of Services Across Denominations

A dense listing of worship times and activities across many churches. Includes TJ Lew and James Grubb in leadership, Seventh Day Adventists on North Fifth Avenue, Eddie West and Larry Roth among pastors, and details of Sunday and weekday services, Sunday schools, youth groups, choirs, and special events across Crawfordsville and surrounding communities.

Church as foundation of character and civic life

A 1963 Keister ad asserts the church shapes character and democracy. It argues four reasons to attend services and support the church for personal, family, community, and church well-being. Plan to attend regularly and read the Bible daily.
