County Resident Te Sockhorst Dies at 93
Funeral services for William Te Sockhorst aged 93 are set for Friday at 9 AM at Holy Trinity church in Richmond led by Rev. Father Stahl. He died Tuesday at his Kalona road home ten miles north of Washington after a long residence in the area. Born July 4 1835 in Germany he came to America in 1854 and settled in Scott county before moving to Washington county in 1870. He married Mary Abhalter January 4 1876 and they had eleven children nine living Henry Frank Anna Escher William Joseph Lee Matilda Clara Harold. two infants Charles and Gerhard died. He leaves a brother Chris and twenty five grandchildren.

Miss Ella Booth Dies at Home After Long Illness
Miss Ella Booth died at 5 30 pm yesterday at 851 South Marion avenue after a long illness. She was born August 23 186? in Butler Pennsylvania and lived on a farm near town before moving to Washington. She helped found the Prairie Flower church and was its last charter member still active. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 pm at the home, Rev KE Hamilton officiating. Burial in Elm Grove cemetery. She leaves three brothers D D J A W Booth and one sister Mrs Eva Mouser. Three sisters Bertha Mizie and Lila are deceased.

Hold Suspect In Store Burglary In Dougherty Case
Walt Hamilton of Sioux City is held at the county jail on suspicion of taking part in the Dougherty clothing store burglary Friday night. He was arrested by Sheriff Denison and Deputy Sweet at Harper. Hamilton, formerly at Fort Madison penitentiary for highway robbery, is on parole after a six year term of twenty. Authorities say strong suspicion remains but no definite link yet. they continue collecting evidence to build a case.
