Beloved Iowa livestock breeder C A Brook dies in Chicago
C A Brook of Chicago aged about 75 died Monday night. He previously lived in Washington county and Iowa, moving 1906 from Illinois. He helped start farming here and with Joe Wright introduced the first belted Hampshire hogs in the county. Survivors include wife Grace Dunbar Brook four children William Clair Brook Mary Brook Bodga Paul Brook and Helen Brook Flewish and a daughter Zelpha McLaughlin who preceded him. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
