Robert S. Cook longtime Washington clothier and business leader died suddenly Saturday evening from a heart attack at his home 327 East Seconda street. Funeral services are set for 2:30 Tuesday at the home led by Rev. Willard Wylie, with private interment in Elm Grove cemetery. Casket will be open to friends this evening 7–9 and tomorrow 10 until the service. Cook born August 6 1856 in Washington, survived by wife Lorle Rickey and a brother William A. Cook. He had led Sol Rich & Co later C. M. & F. Clothing Company and served as city treasurer once and as elder of Second United Presbyterian Church.

Charged with driving while intoxicated after his Ford collided with Vincent Tellin’s Chevrolet on North Marion avenue. Duvall allegedly drove recklessly causing the crash and damage to both cars. Brighton, Oct 10. Dr G W Dosh died Sunday night at 11 30, age 74 a half. He arrived in 1891 and ran a drug store until two years ago when ill health forced retirement. Three men Bet Rider 22 Sigourney Edward Woltring 24 and Michael Woltring 21 Keota were killed when their car was struck by Milwaukee passenger train No 8 a mile west of Richland Iowa. The collision derailed the locomotive and tracks were torn up. The train arrived two hours late.
