Swift Expects Turkey Plant To Be In Operation Oct 15
Henry J. Hamilton, 80, died at his sister’s Newton home after being found in a rocking chair, likely a heart attack. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Os Hoskins funeral home, with burial in Brighton cemetery. He was born May 12, 1871 in Rome Town, lived much of his life in the area, and recently moved to a farm near Pleasant Plain with his brother Peter. Survivors include four brothers Waldo of Brighton, Charles and Jesse of Davenport, and a sister. His parents and two sisters preceded him.

The navy tanker Baumbo was rammed amidships by the freighter Saxon about 12 miles off the North Carolina coast before dawn.
