Chat and Patch Club met with Mrs Nell Conrad September 25 the first regular meeting since May ten members and one guest attended plans were made for a trip to Washington October 3 next meeting with Doris Hart sock October 23.
Waco Superintendent Thomas, Crawfordsville Principal Robert Wayman, and three teachers Helen Rodgers Mildred Cherryholmes and Lois Jones attended a one day elementary education conference at State College of Iowa in Cedar Falls on September 28.
Mrs. Zip Meyer hosted the Merry Eights Pinochle Club on September 30 with ten members and two guests, Mrs. Mabel Roth and Mrs. C E Shu maker. High score went to Mrs. Arthur Speas and low to Mrs. Laverne Farmer. Refreshments followed.
Keota Wesley Methodist Church hosts a smorgasbord on Thursday evening October 10 starting at 5 p.m. The menu features chicken, ham loaf, roast beef, potatoes and gravy, dressing, vegetables, salads and desserts. The M Y F offers corages for sale and takes orders for stationary with a church sketch.
Mr and Mrs Roy Bauer and others toured the Eastern Star Home in Boone accompanied by Virginia Henderson. The White Way Club met with twelve members and three children as hostesses. gifts and flowers were exchanged and roll call noted hobbies.
