C R Wilson arrives to take over the J C Penney store management succeeding D F Barnes who moves to Highland Park Michigan. Wilson comes from Green Bay Wisconsin after eleven years with the firm and has a long Penney career. He is a native of Iowa born near Bloomfield and was raised in Rolfe with a brief start in Tracy Minnesota. His wife will join him when housing is arranged. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge.

A heavy rain drenched Monmouth Illinois as an automobile collision near a hill sent Mr. and Mrs. Ira Saunders and Mrs. Schafer to a Monmouth hospital. Mrs. Hall brought Mrs. Schafer home later, while others remained hospitalized with multiple injuries.

Revenue Plan Considered For Festicorn Map Shortfall

He was an only child and popular student.

Everette Stafford Killed in Bicycle Automobile Crash
Funeral services set for Everette Stafford a 16 year old former Washington boy killed Saturday night near Waterloo. The junior at Waterloo High died from a brain concussion after being struck from behind by a car driven by Glenn Foss of LaPorte City. Police found no blame assigned to the other driver. He is survived by parents three sisters and a brother with relatives in Waterloo Washington and Verdi.
