New Counties Open for Quail Shooting This Fall
The state conservation commission announced five new counties Polk Dallas Jackson Delaware Dubuque join quail shooting from November 1 to 30 along with an expanded list. Bag limit eight birds and hunting hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pheasant season for 38 counties runs 37 days from October 28 to December 3 with a six bird bag limit, one hen allowed.

Robbery Ring Broken Up at Marengo
DES MOINES R W Nebergall chief of the state bureau of investigation announced the arrest of four men and the break up of a tri county robbery ring. The four men are charged with breaking into nine places and one car theft in Marshall Poweshiek and Iowa counties. They were arrested Tuesday after an investigation by Delbert Murray state agent and Milford Engelbert Iowa county sheriff who had asked the state bureau for aid.
