Playing Six Notrump and Four Hearts Contracts in Bridge
Expert notes by B. Jay Becker describe declarer play from West at six notrump and four hearts. The six notrump line secures twelve tricks regardless of card split by winning hearts, finessing spades, and handling a possible four-two or three-one spade break. The four hearts contract outlines a correct heart lead, spade finesse, and then diamond and club losers, with careful avoidance of a queen-then-king sequence to protect ten tricks or better.
