A 14 year old girl Tucker was allegedly outraged by a married man and his wife in Columbus Junction. The couple Mr and Mrs Shelly Miller were jailed after a Tuesday incident with parents claiming ongoing visits from the girl. The Shellys deny the charge saying the girl fabricated the tale after frequent visits to their home. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for Saturday amid high public feeling.
Last night burglars pried open a side door of Akins and Slause hardware store in Ainsworth and seized six revolvers five razors brand Westen holm Son and several dozen pocket knives by Chicago Pocket Knife Company. The money drawer was opened but yielded nothing. No suspects yet. authorities note possible gang activity linked to a Wayland robbery where two suspects were captured.
