Fairfield Iowa October 2 Purchase by the Dexter Co Fairfield of the Nash Kelvinator interest and holdings in the Appliance Manufacturing Co Alliance Ohio was announced today. Tom B Hunt president said his company which manufactures Dexter home washing machines will operate the appliance company as a wholly owned subsidiary making the Duchess washing machine and other private brands. Purchase price was not disclosed. The appliance company has been owned jointly by Dexter and Nash Kelvinator since 1936.
