Robbers Fail To Stop Cars On Rural Road Near Ainsworth

Richardson Awarded 1705 in Personal Injury Case

Barn Fire Destroys Johns Shatla Farm Barn Near Washington
A barn on the Johns Shatla farm eight miles northeast of Washington was destroyed by fire about 8 30 this morning. The family was not home when it started. Neighbor Ed Salla saw the blaze and Kalona fire department plus neighbors saved adjoining structures. Loss includes barn, machinery, hay, grain, two hogs, and a double hay shed. Insurance partly covers the damage.
