Amana Men Face Grand Jury For Malicious Injury

August Unkel, 22, and Henry Ehrman, 28, of West Amana were bound to the grand jury on $1,000 bonds for malicious injury to building and fixtures. They admitted tossing an iron casting through a window into a room occupied by Minnie and Katie Warner, breaking panes and sashes of the window and storm window. They offered no explanation.

Waterloo Man Arraigned in Manslaughter Case

Waterloo resident R. R. Thompson was arraigned in Iowa City on charges of manslaughter for a fatal drunken driving crash that killed David Haney. Thompson pleaded not guilty and was jailed after being charged again with manslaughter. The victim suffered a broken neck skull fracture and brain tear from the collision.

Six injured in auto crash near Crinnell

Six people were hurt Thursday when a car driven by 21 year old Harry Rorell of Newton Iowa side swiped a truck six miles east of Crinnell. The crash occurred on a rural highway with injuries described as non life threatening. Further details were not provided.

Mrs. Martha Rippey Dies. Former Junction Resident
