Mrs. Mary Reynolds died at two this morning at the county hospital after weeks of illness. She was born September 2, 1866 in Mahaska county and married Alfred C. Reynolds on July 19, 1885. Surviving are two daughters Mrs Ralph Gibson and Mrs L P Long and two sons F A Reynolds. Burial followed a Keota funeral service conducted by Rev B R Fessler.

George G. Birney Jr. 22 of Washington suffered a dislocated left elbow and facial cuts when his car overturned on highway 92 east of Answorth about 12 45 this morning. He was blinded by an oncoming car's lights the report says, causing the vehicle to leave the soft shoulder. The car was nearly a total wreck.
