Held for Manslaughter in Water Disaster at Austin

Coudersport Pa November 23 Superintendent Fred N Hamlin and Michel C Bailey in charge of the Bayless Fulp and Sapaer company water system were held to the grand jury by Justice W W Thompson for voluntary manslaughter after the dam failure on September 30 that nearly wiped out Austin and caused over sixty deaths. Bail set at 1000 dollars. The grand jury will reconvene December 38.

The Hamburg America liner Prinz Joachim grounded at Atwood Cay near Fortune Island in the West Indies.
