A Atlantic coast gale lasting 48 hours bolts seaboard with ten dead and many missing. Shipping losses mount as coast guards search for missing vessels and crew. New England and New York report freezing temperatures and multiple fatalities from exposure.
Bandits robbed the Whitt State Bank in Whitt Texas last night and escaped with $2000. They carried away the safe.
Atlantic City N J November 18 two dead four missing after a blaze destroyed the Bothwell Hotel and its annex formerly the Senator. The Casino on the steel pier was wrecked and losses reach about 1 506 000. James Bennett 80 of New York died from injuries during rescue efforts. A missing unidentified woman and at least three more guests are feared lost. Police sergeant James A McNenin is listed as missing from rescue work.
An explosion aboard a barge near Warners New Jersey triggered a blaze at a Sintlair Refining Co plant. Fire spread to the gasoline tanker William Boyce Thompson, destroying the ship and eight thousand tanks. Over seven thousand gallons of gasoline burned. one man is missing as crew were rescued from icy waters.

Amnesty also granted to Louis Malvy 196 to 62. Premier Herriot urged reconciliation as Caillaux regains full civic rights and may seek office.
Mrs Warren G Harding remained in unchanged condition through the night doctors reported at six this morning her pulse grew very weak and her breathing shallow but she was rallying and slightly stronger overall in Marion Ohio on November 18 according to Associated Press.

Commissioner Blair said many seek access without reason and the measure aims to speed offices. The circular cites Section 3167 and warns collectors to limit inquiries into returns.

William M. Steuart, director of the census, reports saving expenditures and returning between 20000 and 30000 to the treasury for the last fiscal year. He cites tighter cooperation with industry and officials, bureau reorganization, faster publication, and lower printing costs. A census of agriculture starts December 1 and should finish by January 25. It will gather data on land use, crops, and farm production alongside population data.
