Washington High School stages Connecticut Yankee at dusk
Washington High School presented John G Fuller's Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court Thursday night under director Daryl Schultz. The cast led by Doug Shalla as Hank Bennett delivered a lively performance with notable work from Allen Stewart Sharon Lowry Leonard Schantz Linda Starr and others. The stage design costumes makeup and technical crew enhanced the production with strong support from the Art Service Club and publicity team. The final show begins at 8 this evening.

Sixty five employees and officials of the Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America attended a steak dinner and awards program at the Captain's Table. Top honors went to W J Fleming for 30 years of service. other long service awards were given to C W Conklin, P O Nelson, J C Willis, Cloyce I Crooks and Robert G Gann, with several five to ten year recognitions. D T Lutz praised the Harper crew and announced a Columbus Junction underground storage project, noting no rate increases unless large costs arise. D C Allen was master of ceremonies.

60 Year Prison Term for Kinyon
