In Cartersville Georgia a Bartow County jury found Rev Clyde Ricker and Carl Porter Jr guilty on three counts each of assault with a deadly weapon by a snake and one count of disturbing a public worship service. Seven defendants admitted bringing copperhead snakes into Calvary Holiness Church on Aug 17 and causing a commotion. Doyle Hatfield testified Porter struck him with snakes and JoAnn Dye was bitten when snakes were flung toward her.

Snider to undergo mental evaluation in Oakdale facility
