Clyde Lyons aged 49 and Morton Lyons 45 from Des Moines were indicted by Palo Alto county grand jury on assault with intent to murder. The charge stems from their alleged attack on Howard Knight 68, a farmer near Emmetsburg, who protested their pheasant hunting on his land. Knight suffered shotgun pellet injuries to his legs and was later pursued by the men with their car.

Seven Year Top Set At Chicago Cattle Market

Otto Bott, 73, a well known Keokuk industrialist and agriculturist, died Friday in a Burlington hospital after heart ailment treatment begun last Monday. In the cooperage business 55 years, his firm’s barrels were widely used in the United States and Canada. He and brother George T. Bott once owned Arkansas timber lands for stave production, with lumber ferried up the Mississippi.
