Mrs. Zora Sheehan aged 50, formerly Miss Zoa Paschal of Columbus City, died by suicide at her daughter’s Chicago home on November 4. Continued ill health was cited. She was born in Columbus City, survived by three children and three brothers, with funeral services held in Chicago.

A Chevrolet sedan carrying Nathaniel Young and three youths crashed with a truck driven by Barney Griggs on West Madison Street around 6 30 pm. Maxine Welliver and Violet Anderson sustained head and chest injuries. Mary Estevé Anderson had minor bruises from the collision. The driver was Cy Bush of Burlington. Griggs was unhurt and a crowd gathered at the scene. Mr and Mrs W B Kerr left for California for the winter.
