Old Lothario Dr Pollock Arrested in Obscene Letters Case

Samuel Pollock of Verdi Washington County, 60, was jailed for writing obscene letters to a young girl and a second girl, using a hollow tree delivery scheme. Couple from Clinton Seeks Marriage License In City

A young man and woman from Clinton Iowa registered at Hotel Allen and sought a marriage license at the courthouse. They lacked a identifying witness. after the hotel day clerk refused to identify them they eventually found a witness and may now be married.
