Donations fund beds, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and more kept at 902 East Second Street. They report 2 446 calls in a year and offer equipment free of charge for emergencies and convalescence.

Death of John Verrips in Iowa City
John Verrips a 35 year old resident of Columbus Junction died at 4 45 am at University hospital Iowa City after a several months illness. The body is at Stacy Funeral home Columbus Junction pending arrangements. He was born March 27 1915 at Lovila and moved to the Conesville area at age 12. He married Ethel Boyd of Muscatine on April 2 1935 and is survived by his widow his mother Mrs Eliza Verrips of Columbus Junction one brother four sisters and a half brother and half sister.

Former Ainsworth Man Dies in Tingley Fire Incident
Dale Peters, 48, husband of Ainsworth native Dale Ebner, died in Tingley Iowa while waiting for a fire truck at a Thursday blaze. He had heart trouble recently and previously lived near Crawfordsville and on the Ebner farm north of Ainsworth. Funeral services set for Saturday in Tingley and Lewis with survivors including three sons, his wife, and siblings.
