Two Small Boys Terrorize Town in Minn. Rampage
Two boys aged eight and ten staged a night of gunfire in Fosston Minnesota. They stole six rifles and 10 000 rounds of ammunition and fired on homes vehicles and a filling station burning it as a fort. Returned soldier Private Richard Raymond Bear will be buried Tuesday afternoon at Elm Grove cemetery with services at two o clock conducted by Dr. Fred Miller. No military ceremony will accompany the funeral. Bear, son of Mr and Mrs Clayton E F Bear, died in France October 17 1944 from wounds received October 3 while on combat duty in Howland. He was born October 20 1924 in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1942. He entered service December 11 1943 after farming with his father. His body arrives in Washington Monday with a military escort from Chicago. Funeral arrangements are by L A Jones funeral home.

Seven Vehicles In One Accident Near Stockton
Two people died in a seven vehicle crash 10 miles south of Stockton California as two buses collided with a burning pileup of five cars. Smoke reduced visibility and three southbound autos struck the wreckage. One car carried a man and a woman killed. bus occupants largely escaped with minor injuries. Exact injury count was unknown.

Fire destroys Ashton postoffice drug store and more
A large one story building housing the post office, telephone exchange and drug store was leveled by a blaze in Ashton Iowa on November 8. Damage was estimated at 30000 dollars. The fire started possibly from an overheated furnace under the drug store and was first spotted by druggist Jerry Knutson. Fire crews from Sibley Sheldon and Ashton fought the flames but strong winds fed the blaze and the building was destroyed before they could contain it.

Mayor G. E. Mace and wife in Washington county hospital after a collision on Highway 92 near town. Mrs Mace suffered a left leg fracture extending to the knee, a forehead gash, sprained ankle, and shock. Mr Mace has a cracked sternum and facial injuries. Raymond Thompson 22 of Keota drove the other car. passengers Herschel and Joe Berry also from Keota were bruised. Damage estimated at 500 for the Mace car and 350 for the Thompson car.
