Chicago, Nov. 3 The political battle enters its final day with ballots falling and voters set to decide a tight race. Predictions see Taft or Bryan winning depending on doubtful states, as past results from 1900 and 1904 are reviewed and party managers claim it is finished.

Their son Emmet was injured by a Dayton and Manette traction car after the wagon was torn apart. The horse is badly hurt and may be killed. The youth likely will recover.
Sherman L. Depew and wife narrowly escaped serious harm when their car was struck by an electric car in Detroit on November 3. Depew clung to the steering gear and suffered a wrenched shoulder while Mrs. Depew was thrown to the pavement and rendered unconscious. Doctors later reported her injuries were not dangerous.
Walter McCall forty five a former South Chicago steel mill official was killed at a gravel pit while showing visitors around. He wandered too close to the edge fell fifteen feet and was buried beneath shifting sand and gravel becoming dead on removal.
California fighter Jimmy Britt defeats England’s Johnny Summers in the tenth round at Wonderland in London on November 3. Summers fights hard but Britt secures victory in the featured boxing match.
Chicago reports a large early turnout with Illinois and the nation voting. Indications point to about 15 million votes nationwide with Taft favored on the national ticket. Tammany leaders push to mobilize the New York vote amid new registration concerns.
