Aged Woman Dies Of Burns In Home
Mrs. Mary White aged 72 of Fonda died in Mercy hospital after suffering burns at home. Family said she awoke during the night and went outside, crying out as her clothes burned. Lloyd McClurt and daughter in law heard her, found her on fire, and neighbors helped. She leaves five daughters and two sons.

Des Moines Man Dies of Burns in Duplex Fire
Roy Hutton eight of Des Moines died in a hospital here from burns suffered in an early Sunday explosion and fire that destroyed the hall of a duplex occupied by his parents Mr and Mrs William Hutton. He had arrived with his wife and two children for a visit and re entered the burning building to salvage furnishings. His wife, an invalid, was treated for shock.
