Berlin reports 4,136,181 signatures collected for a referendum on the Young plan, 8,594 over the required total. Volunteers must also secure a 50 percent turnout and a nationalist majority to block acceptance, a surprise victory amid cautious nationalist optimism.
Reports from George Wilson at the county hospital say his condition is good with no unfavorable symptoms. He was shot early yesterday by his father James Wilson at their home, following a family quarrel. James Wilson is detained in the county jail awaiting arraignment and county attorney George Morrison's return as the condition of the wounded man Bear in mind.
Wilma Horesowsky of Richmond arrived in Washington this morning and spent the day attending the plaque school at the Scott Furniture store.
Police blamed a nightmare turning real for the death of Doris McCon nell 19 of Oakland found in a Santa Cruz cottage bed with a bullet wound. A revolver lay under her pillow with one cartridge fired, suggesting she discharged the weapon in sleep.

Shaver died at 10 25 p m last night at 518 South Town avenue after a long illness He was bed fast for five weeks and funeral services will be at his residence Sunday at four conducted by Rev A W Henke of the Methodist Church Interment will be in Elm Grove cemetery He was born near Jackson Michigan September 14 1858 and lived in Jamestown North Dakota before moving to Washington twenty four years ago He was married January 28 1899 to Alice Wilson and survived by her two brothers Hiland M Shaver of Oklahoma City and Benjamin Shaver of Michigan and one sister Mrs Helen Shaft of Michigan He was longtime manager of the north side furniture store in Washington and an active salesman He belonged to the Methodist church and was noted for his home life good fellowship and patient conduct during illness.
A terrific earthquake lasting 51 minutes struck Juquila in Oaxaca southern Mexico causing walls to collapse and residents to flee in panic. No damage or casualty estimates were available immediately.

A baby girl was critically injured amid the wreck. The crossing was guarded by a watchman and an automatic signal.
