A temporary committee formed from a meeting at the fairgrounds will plan Washington County’s bicentennial participation for 1976. About 20 people attended and urged clubs and organizations to join, with Joe Jones Chuck Hotle Mrs. George Kerr Mrs. Robert Carter and Jim Frier on the committee. The group seeks broad local involvement and will meet next Tuesday to form a permanent panel and recruit more participants.

Elephants Headline Circus Here June 12

Prairie Flower eyed as home for Iowa boys center
