Pipeline Worker Jailed After Fairbanks County Incident
Carl Christofferson of Clifton Texas, a pipeline company employee, is jailed in Washington county after a dispute with Stewart Kline a Muscatine taxi driver. Kline says the men were driven from Muscatine to Washington when Christofferson tried to take the wheel and dragged him from the car. The fight ended after a passing motorist stopped it and Deputy Sheriff Harold Putnam transported the trio to Washington. The third man took no part in the fracas.

Public Health Nurse Chosen in County

Hoxsey death case reopened in Muscatine
Sheriff Nesper announced the investigation into Dan Hoxsey's death would be reopened after finding his body with a bullet in the heart in the rear seat of his car at his home garage. Harry Hoxsey, brother of the deceased, is free in Michigan on a bond from a prior medicine license conviction. The gun lay on the car floor, evidently shot through the holster, with no powder marks on the body. Mrs. Hoxsey cited enemies as possible motives but police withheld details. Hoxsey had worked for Baker Institute since last November.
