Washington junior college and high school honor graduates
Diplomas were awarded to 23 Washington junior college and 28 Washington high school graduates in a packed Methodist church. Dean Sehell and Principal Minnis presented certificates, with President Bailey awarding diplomas after praising the students. Scholarships were announced by Supt. Erbe, including American Legion Auxiliary and Griffith scholarships, as Dr. Eaves urged graduates to live selflessly for the good of society and to value friendships formed during school days. The ceremony opened with a processional and prayers by Rev. Polk and Rev. Smith, followed by a benediction and recessional.
