Three-Car Crash Near Harper Leaves No Injuries
At midnight Tuesday three miles east of Harper Intersection on Highway 2, three cars were involved in a crash investigated by Sheriff E. E. Tremmel. Samuel Warren of Washington was jailed on drunken driving charges after leaving the scene. Farrington, Beaver, and Warren vehicles were damaged, with Warren’s car overturning after impact. Warren waived to the grand jury and bond was set at $1.00.

Born December 25 1859 in Madison County Kentucky she moved to Washington in 1920 and was a Baptist. Funeral 2 pm Sunday at Sherman’s Funeral Home conducted by Rev Thomas Hightower with burial in Kim Grove Cemetery. Surviving: two sons Ascur Ballew Ard Ky and Hugh Ballew Lexington Ky one daughter Mrs Aaron Howard Washington two sisters five others and ten grandchildren three great grandchildren. Cecil Ballew is deceased. A sisterly group offers cars for cemetery decoration duty with more volunteers welcomed.
