Insect Control Spraying Set to Start Friday in Washington
The annual summer program to spray for insect pests will begin in Washington on Friday if weather permits. Workmen will spray each suitable Friday using a government-approved chemical that is not a hard pesticide and will not harm vegetation.

Twenty five graduates at W H S received 7287.95 dollars across 27 awards during Commencement Tuesday night. The John T. Sampson grant of 200 dollars per year for four years went to Mary Ann Nihart. Other notable gifts include 600 and 550 dollar Shields memorials to Thomas Coon and Roger Cline respectively, plus numerous 100 to 400 dollar awards from Kiwanis Rotary DECA and other groups. James E Lloyd led the diploma ceremony with three student speakers and diplomas presented by the school board president.
