Eugene Seevers of Oskaloosa was released from the county jail after a hearing before the county board of insanity failed to declare him a fit patient for an insane hospital. Seevers had been arrested about ten days earlier on Mrs. N. L. Black’s complaint that he obtained valuable hair goods by false pretenses. The wigs were found in his trunk, which had been sent from Boone and received here yesterday. Seevers agreed to pay for repairs. Mrs. Black declined to press the charge after recovering her property.
