Los Angeles May 2. M A Schmidt alias F A Perry alias JB Leonard, one of the fugitives indicted in the Los Angeles Times dynamite case, was arrested. An automobile rushed to the International Bank building with four men and a fifth in irons. He was taken to the district attorney's office for questioning and then secreted, later placed in a county jail cell. Authorities withheld arrest details.

In Hobart a post performance rain storm confrontation escalates into a large fight between Broncho Sullivan’s Weet West show led by Coyote Kate and local townsmen. About fourteen injured. Sullivan, with a broken leg, fired twelve showmen as tents stakes guns and knives were used. One hundred locals rallied before police disarmed combatants.
