Eliminate snipers on Hamburger Hill
U S paratroopers cleared Hamburger Hill of remaining North Vietnamese snipers from a Communist regiment that had defended the peak during a 10 day battle. The 101st Airborne captured the hill on their 11th assault, with 12 snipers killed and 55 Americans dead in the fight. Communists reported 400 dead.
