In PULSAR BURAT DISTRICT India May 21 UP a mass attack by unarmed independence volunteers on the Chharasana salt works was repelled by Surat police. More than 200 injured in the first assault with 250 casualties reported later by volunteer leaders. Mrs Sarojini Naidu directed the attack and was arrested. Gandhi's son Mawil aided in the raid and also arrested. Injured were carried to a temporary hospital.
